The UI Web Accessibility Focus 2016 workshop schedule continues in March with topics of interest to web managers, designers, and communicators.

Accessibility Tips for SiteNow Content Providers explores ways that content providers and other staff can provide robust, accessible content to their SiteNow Standard Service website. In this workshop, we'll cover five best practices for SiteNow content providers, culminating in an open question-and-answer session.

The SiteNow standard service has made it easier than ever for campus units to acquire and maintain their websites. In this session, we'll see how anyone can provide robust, accessible content to their unit's SiteNow websites. Topics include:

  • Providing meaningful ALT text for your site images
  • How to create more accessible data tables
  • Topic headings and document structure
  • Authoring meaningful link text
  • Providing sufficient color contrast
  • Publishing other document formats (e.g., Word, PDF, media)

This session is recommended for content providers, communicators, and non-technical staff, as well as anyone who provides content to a SiteNow standard site.
